IU Debate wins big at 5th annual Hoosier Invitational Tournament

The Hoosier Debate Team hosted its 5th annual Hoosier Invitation Tournament at the end of January. Sixteen schools and 100 undergraduate students took part in the tournament. IU undergraduates Bee Smale and Ari Hoffman had an outstanding tournament, breaking 1st seed, finishing 3rd overall. Harry Aaronson and Kegan Ferguson finished in 5th place with 4-preliminary wins. Harry and Kegan lost to the eventual tournament winners from the University of Michigan.

Brandon Perry finished 3rd in Junior Varsity while debating with a partner from Iowa. The two finished preliminary debates with a 5-1 record.
